What is on-site staffing?

On-site staffing is the outsourcing of labor to enrich your in-house staff and achieve operational flexibility. An example of a customized staffing agreement is a skilled technician would report to your site daily and provide year-round service for all of your HVAC repair and maintenance needs.

On-site staffing is growing in demand. Companies often have specific reasons for outsourcing their HVAC service needs, for example, a hard-to-replace employee might retire, a firm may need to downsize its full-time staff, or a company may add new buildings and has a need to "keep up."

How do we benefit from an on-site technician at our facility?

When you outsource your building maintenance, you benefit by having an experienced technician stationed on your premises. As a result, the response time for handling day-to-day maintenance demands is immediate—facility problems are addressed expertly and without delay. If a bigger problem arises, the on-site technicians can consult with our engineers and other team players to develop a solution in a short period of time. In addition, you reap the advantages of direct communication with the same technician, reduced downtime, and lower operating costs.

Why shouldn't we just hire our own person?

Hiring and training your own skilled technician is a cumbersome, time-consuming process. With outsourcing you are guaranteed a reliable and fully trained technician. In addition, you don't have to worry about covering benefits, sick pay, or vacation time on your own payroll. This is all covered under the staffing agreement. Since there's no learning curve, you don't have to absorb the high costs of training and employee retention.

How long are we obligated for?

Our contract terms vary, however, our outsourcing agreements usually begin with a one-year period, followed by extended agreements.

What are our staffing options?

In most cases, Monsen provides you with a skilled refrigeration technician who has practical electrical and plumbing experience. If you need an operating engineer, we work with the appropriate union groups to get you the technical forces that meet your requirements.

Can on-site technicians perform project work or system upgrades?

Your site technician handles minor upgrades and normal repairs, however, complex and engineered-based projects are directed back to Monsen for assignment.

How much will it cost us to outsource?

The location of the site, scope of the work, and number of technicians needed all affect your costs. Since each outsourcing arrangement is unique, we customize each contract's price. Monsen then sends you an appropriate monthly invoice to cover the technician's time spent at your site.
