A Campus-wide Central Cooling System: A case study in upgrading facilities for the twenty-first century The Technical Research Campus of Rhône-Poulenc Corporation occupies 85 acres with 14 buildings housing over 700 employees. An aging infrastructure presented a number of problems, including high maintenance, high energy consumption and insufficient capacity. A renowned cigar retailer transformed a 6,000 sq. ft. building into a wine bar, retail gift shop and cigar museum. The challenges were: (1) To keep people comfortable and cigars fresh (2) To maintain proper indoor air quality by efficiently removing cigar smoke and (3) To make indoor air conditioning systems aesthetically pleasing. President's Hall: A case study in aesthetic preservation of a college building

State Farm: A case study in construction management When an insurance company decided to consolidate their outlying offices at they're regional headquarters, Monsen Engineering Company was selected to provide the design package and construction management for the project, which involved major relocations of people and changes and renovation for the 100,000 square foot facility. The Atrium: Uncomfortable Tenants - Uneasy Owners (Winner, National Design/Build Award) This building's occupants experienced wide daily temperature extremes, drafts and stuffiness. There was excessive noise and vibration. Summer temperatures ranged to over 80 degrees and winter conditions varied between too cold and too hot.
